Save Money With Preventative Maintenance

posted on

Vehicles have become so advanced that we often take them for granted. It is so easy to just hop in, turn the key, and go. Unfortunately, newer vehicles can give us a false sense of security. No matter how new your vehicle is time and distance will cause wear and tear. Without proper maintenance, you could end up with an expensive auto repair. I want to help you avoid unnecessary auto repair cost. Here is a list of maintenance items that should never be neglected.

Brakes - No other system in your car is responsible for your safety like your brakes. No other system has the number of parts that will wear down and need to be serviced. No matter how you drive, your brakes will eventually need maintenance.  You should have your brakes inspected at least once a year.

Engine Lubricant - You've heard it a thousand times, change your oil regularly. Your engine oil is the lifeblood of your engine and when it stops doing its job the damage can be expensive. Motor oil has gotten better over the years and factory recommended service intervals have been lengthened but driving in hot weather can render engine oil useless faster than normal.

Wipers and Lights - The ability to see out of your windshield is without a doubt a top safety feature. Changing your wiper blades at least once a year and making sure all of your lights are working properly can save you from possible accidents.

Tires - Rotating your tires and having them balanced is the one way to ensure that they will last.  Failure to keep your tires balanced, rotated, and properly inflated can mean costly replacement. Tire wear can also be a great indicator of the health of your suspension. While servicing your tires a RoadMart technician can tell if you have suspension or alignment problems.

Road Mart Inc. believes that all maintenance is important. If your busy schedule prevents you from taking care of every maintenance item you should at least put these items on your to-do list.  Taking precautionary measures will save you time and money by keeping you out of the shop for expensive auto repairs.
